The Airdrie Ministerial Neighborhood Prayer Walks will take place over 52 days, from May 1 to June 21, 2023  

The Plan: The churches in Airdrie have joined forces to blanket the city of Airdrie in prayer.  As Nehemiah rallied the people of Israel to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days (Nehemiah 3:2), we want to claim our neighbourhoods and city for God to strengthen and revive this area for his glory.  

The Prayers: In these wonderful days of Spring, take time to walk, run, bike or drive through the areas around our church Airdrie Meadows, The Village, Jensen, Edmonton Trail, Edgewater, through Woodside, Fairways, or wherever you are in the city.  Pray that:   

  • God will bless our community with His presence & goodness
  • God will soften the hearts of people so they will turn to Him
  • God will connect people to a local churches
  • God will strengthen homes, marriages, businesses & schools
  • God will use His church as a light & place of grace  

The Procedure:  As you venture out on your walks, pray simple prayers for all the residences and businesses.  Then when you come into church, highlight the areas you have covered on the map at the back of the church.  It is a great way to encourage exercise with family & friends in a purposeful way.  There will be some sort of celebration on June 21st, hopefully at Nose Creek Park, where we can see how we have all done.  Join in this fun way to “blanket the city in prayer.”
